Frost damage? Root rot?

I've had a wet couple of days topped with a 0c morning with frost. I noticed two (of four) of my figs in a planter box have some browning on their new leaves and they are curling up. I'm worried this is root rot from all the rain, but it's only the higher up new leaves.

Interestingly the two affected are (presumed) F. rubiginosa whilst my two other figs (F. macrophylla and F. obliqua) are unaffected.

I'd agree. See it all too often. Mine lives under cover in winter now!
