A Bit Windy Last Night

Like a lot of south eastern Australia the weather here has been on the windy side yesterday and today. Unfortunately this has resulted in a bottlebrush of mine coming a cropper. It was in an exposed area but was "tied" to the post but this was not sufficient.
If you are a glass half full type this simply means an opportunity to have a re-design, and of course a new pot.
The pot this was in was only a training pot but now has quite a few cracks.

Man that sucks Watto... badly!
Looks like a fantastic trunk your brewing there, clearly that lives on, but a shame about some lovely branch development that didn't quite make it... Cuttings?? Hope it comes back twice as good twice as quick for you.
Good luck.
PS: Viminalis??

Yep, an old Captain Cook. Here is a flower from a few years ago.

That's a right bugger Watto! The old "occy strap" fails. Did the elasticised part snap or did it just work itself loose?
I had a ficus go for a flight last night if that's any sort of consolation. Toying with the idea of tie downs for some of the larger canopy trees now, but might go for the nylon strap tie downs for the roof racks.

I have been losing branches over the last couple of years. I just treat it as what happens in the bush and adds character to the trees.

The "occy" didn't break but I think the fact that the pot is round is a contributor to it not holding to the necessary level. But as Roger said, there is a "new" tree it there somewhere.
