I understand Robert Steven generated quite a bit of interest at the AABC Convention in Hobart in May when he unveiled his new Limited Edition Ryuga RS Shears.

The good news is that they are available in Australia through Bonsai Environment.

On their website you can preorder for delivery in October and I understand supplies are strictly limited.

An interesting tool! I'm curious what the extra bit in between the handles is for?

It's the first unique tool since Marco Invernizzi's Ichiban was released. I don't think I've ever seen one in use in Australia? Has anyone had any experience with them?

Regards,
Steven

;) That will be the anchor for the bungee cord so when you drop them they don't stab you in the foot  or break the point on the hard floor

Ohhh they look very slick! Definitely tempted!

There is no mention of what the little loop is on the website either... but am very curious! maybe some form of wire holder? or maybe its to attach a stylish key ring?

Could it just be a pretty thing to stop the scissors over-closing? Otherwise there would just be a solid chunk of steel there.

I don't think its a stopper, as i think they don't close that far :lost:

I dunno... maybe it is just artistic... but it just feels like it has a purpose lol but then if it did, you'd think it'd be a selling point and listed in the description

I'm kind of curious now

It's so you can attach them to a lanyard, and hang them from your neck, rather than put holes in the back pocket of your jeans.

*theory*
