Whilst trolling Wanterna market today I grabbed a couple of 'Corokia's'.
On a whim..not actually looking for new stock but once I picked these up I imagined a clip and grow type of styling.
Movement is already advanced and as these critters are so fine in the branches I thought I might give myself a challenge to see if I can actually direct the branches as I want.
The new home for one is pictured..The second will go into the same size/design pot only a rectangle piece.
Thought on both tree and pot choice appreciated.

Impatient I am and just had to pot one up.
With a bit of a trim to get rid of a couple of crossed branches that I could of wired but then that would of been defeating what I want to do...'Clip and shape'.

They look good but I have always had difficulty with this species. Good luck with them and I hope they are a success.

Did up the second Corokia this morning.
Kept it a bit taller with a light prune.
See how they go and thanks for the heads up on the difficulty with these Watto.

Clip 'n grow is definitely the only way to go with these! a good bit of fun!

I've had no issues with this ^ one. free draining mix, regular watering.

I had a larger one years ago, but I think that passed after getting root rot then repotted when it was too warm ...

Thanks Ryan..Now I'm very interested.. Checked mine out really closely as maybe at the nursery or wherever it came from snails and slugs had had a rasp along some branches..Not too bad but may hold it back a bit...Or perhaps it might just 'sulk'
