What kind of elm?

Nothing in this tree's several years wirh me, from whip-thin Bunnings impulse buy through over-zealous wiring leading to hideous scars, to last winter's vicious trunk chop had led me to believe it was anything other than a Chinese Elm...
This spring though...WHOA THERE TRIGGER!
it's gone berserk, chucking out these (relatively) huge leaves!

Cautiously ruling out the possibility that it has morphed into some kind of mutant Elm-inator, come to wreak awful vengeance on me for treating it so shoddily, can anyone clue me in to what it actually is?

I agree. Looks like healthy, vigorous Chinese elm growth to me as well.

I'm glad it's healthy!
