My Azalea and Gardinia Bench

A bit of colour.
I grow a few Azaleas mainly for the flowers and have a few Bonsai in all manner of pots to which as posted before are part of my 'bowl/pot' reclamation.
Gardenias..well they are a pain to work with as generally Azalea type soil which I have my own 'brew' is a broad medium that on paper should cover a broad spectrum.
'Broad spectrum'.. Sounds more like a herbicide or a sheep and cattle drench than a soil description but on we go.
Shock for Gardenias with root pruning seems to be the main culprit and 'acidic' burn the result but that's another story.
I may post up Gardies individually.
Steve.

hi Anthony.
That one is a Satsuki.
A bit larger flowers than the one just below.
Almost finished it's flowering but it is prolific...When it was full bloom you could not see a leaf through the carpet.
Actually (3) trees together with the future being the old umbrella style and move them closer together.
I prefer the single bloom although I do have one (the pink in the front) that has a double that continues to throw a few flowers first up nearly 100mm across.
Hidden through are a lot of seedlings that I'm growing up in re-claimed bowls for an auction next May at the local bingo for Cancer Council.
Cost is irrelevant and the Old girls go nuts about them.
Steve.

Cheers Steve and a very good gesture with the seedlings too.
Yes the big reds look good,I have a indica 'Goyet' in red I believe.Reconstructing and enjoying its spot flowering.

Beautiful display Steve.
I can only dream of having azaleas as healthy and colourful as yours due to the dreaded Lace Bug.

Glad the lower humidity and Cold keep them away.
My red leaf Azalea get a few Aphids but they are attractants for Aphids so I'm not surprised.

A Satsuki for Kevin even on a miserable rainy night in Boronia this one adds a little cheer.
Steve.
