Hi all,

I'm planning my trip to japan and will visit afew bonsai places around tokyo and kyoto. so does anyone know if traditional bonsai nurseries in japan carry Nishiki-bachi pots? and do you happen to know where exactly in japan to get them?
they are quite expensive to buy from ebay and shipping cost a furtune. so hopefully I could find something cheaper in japan. thanks in advance for your help.

Regards
George

Hi George,

Try Ueno green club and Nippon Bonsai near Tokyo or Omiya bonsai village about an hour via subway train from Tokyo CBD. I found Ueno green club has plenty of old pots at reasonable price whilst Omiya is good for sight seeing but a bit pricey there. If you're planning to travel to Osaka or Kyoto... worth to pay a visit to Tokoname. I picked up a few good pots at the Tokoname City Cermaic Hall last month...

Cheers,
Hal.
