I Love Yew 2

Back in August I purchased three Yew's that were not grown for bonsai but just for nursery sale. One I gave away and two are currently living at my place. This is part one of what I hope will be a long story over many years and at each up-date there will be improvement in the tree.
This is part one and the first work done was to get it to a manageable size.

Last weekend I decided it was time for part 2, which was simply to get it into a pot that I was able to move around. Originally the tree and pot weighed about 80 kg and it was too difficult to move it around.

Look forward to seeing what you end up doing with this Watto.

I saw one a few years back and didn't have the foggiest idea what to do with it so I passed.
To clarify the growth habit was too unusual and I just couldn't get my head around it.

This is a long term project but hopefully it will be OK in 5 to 10 years.
Tony Tickle who does a lot of work with Yew will be in Australia next year and I hope to be able to talk to him about the species then.
