Blooming Beauty

This is possibly the best spring for flowering bonsai I've had at Shibui Bonsai.
The smaller wisteria has more flowers than ever before. it has been on show for 3 days so some flowers are a little shrivelled -

The larger wisteria is just opening the first flowers but should look good next week.

Azaleas have also flowered well. The earlier varieties suffered from petal blight a bit but this one is looking good this week -

I'm on the lookout for a suitable pot for this one. I think it might be close to ready for show now.

The cotoneasters are also flowering but maybe not quite as spectacular as those above -

I agree with you that flowering trees have gone well.
Azaleas..mine included have been amazing and flowers have lasted a very long time.
particular interest for Azalea growers is that I have found back budding in particular is almost instant after flowers are cut.
I have fed well and only water with collected rain water.
They get 'NO' morning sun and 'NO' rain..(under eaves)
Re your Cotoneasters I love them.
These pair are budding out flowers for the first time in 3 years (or since I got them) and are defoliated twice a year.
thanks for reminding me shibui..Cotoneasters are a great tree to own.

No problem Mogginator. I don't keep very good records but I think that wisteria is around 15-20 years old, grown from seed. It started flowering relatively early at around 6 years old, unlike my larger one which was about 19 years when it finally decided to produce its first flower.
