My New Bench - Under 200$

Just thought id show off my new bench that i finished off over the weekend.
It is 1200mm high and 2200mm Wide. Its a lot bigger than what i need but i am going to europe for 6 weeks over the summer so needed a way to keep all my plants in the one place to make watering easier for my house sitter.
Had the 3 legs made for me for $150 inc delivery, using the perth beer economy facebook page.
Then got all the decking for a 40$ carton of beer from the same page..
Spent about 3 hours yesterday cutting the decking to size, screwing it all together and staining.
All up the cost was under 200$ and about 3 hours labor.
now i just need 3 friends to help me move it, and some more little trees to fill it.
Thanks for look'n

thanks ryceman, im pretty happy with it.
should hopefully move my plants onto it this week if i can decide where to put it.
ive got a spot with good sun where my small bench currently sits, but thinking a very shady spot would give me less to stress about while im away over the summer.
maybe il go with the sunny spot and then move into the shade before i go away...

thanks Boics, thanks fruit fly.
Decided to show my cards.
This is its temporary spot,
before i get any 'smart' comments, my landlord has agreed to pave this area while i am away, and what you see is after a weekends worth of work clearing the weeds about a month ago ha

Cool.
Everything looks pretty healthy.
A small suggestion is that it would be great to have a ground plot to help thicken some trunks up!
I hope he's not going to pave everywhere!

funny you say that boics,
there's an old vegie patch just to the right of the big bougie, that definitely wont be getting the paving treatment.
iv been slowly culling the veigies and replacing with junipers, a couple of pines, and a heap of bougie cuttings all in colanders.
By the time my partner realized what was going in it was far too late for her lettuce

Nice one mate.
You'll be rotating good stock onto and off the bench (into grow beds) in no time.

This is the part that worries me.

Yes. My advice is as follows:
1: Implement a timed water sprinkler which should water twice a day.
2: Spend multiple sessions with your neighbour watering your tree's under your guidance.
3: Overwater rather than underwater.
If you are using typical free-draining substrate overwatering for this period shouldn't be a problem.
Underwatering on the other hand can and will be lethal.

Thats been worrying me too, but i am working on it,
Ive been trying to teach my housemate but hes pretty useless and doesnt seem to care, so hopefully going to get a watering system settup over the next couple of weekends, andhave my brother come round to help set it up so he knows how to fix it if anything goes wrong.
Then i only need to trust my housemate to make sure its still running everyday and to let my brother know if its not.
Ive also arranged to leave my big melaleuca with the guy i purchased it off while im away, so hopefully that doesnt fall through.

In other news i notice theres alot of space on that bench, when you get back maybe its time to start fill in the gaps [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES]
