Hawthorn

It must be Hawthorn day today - 3 posts with this species flowering well this year.
This tree was collected from a pebbly area near Wood Point around 35 years ago. I've finally convinced it to start producing more than a handful of flowers. Still not the masses of flowers that I see on the ferals along the roadsides here but still far better than it has ever done.
Pictured on the bench at Albury Show today.

Sadly did not win a prize. :(

Looks marvellous on he bench too might I add.

In case you are wondering what did win, Alpineart won with his English Oak.

Sadly, my Chinese Elm didn't win either :)

Come on fella's the judges did a wonderful job :whistle: , imagine the outcome if i had entered a couple of good Bonsai or even some vegies :lol: :lol: . Shibui , I will have some room in the vehicle to assist with delivering your prizes in all the other categories you cleaned up on , Armourguard's not available on Sundays .
