One of my near neighbours renovated the garden a few months ago and put in lots of Small leafed Lilli Pilli's, and I noted that a few in the fron garden had turned up their toes.
When I walked past yesterday to find her digging them all up and replacing them. she asked if she could load up by Rubbish bin with them and I offered to help her do so if I could take all the ones showing life.
Well after they dug out about 26 or so of them
I had to relocate them 2 houses up the street to home and clean them up
and Rehydrate them.
Easiest dig I have ever been on I reckon
Trimmed up the root ball of 8 and put into my Baby bath to soak in Seasol, and stacked the rest close together in the shade and watered in well.
I now need to get about 20 more 200mm squat pots from Ray tonight
so I can pot them all up tomorrow. Gawd knows where i will put them after that though!
They are all about 800 mm tall to will reduce them so i cn manage them better, but loking at them, many have nice interesting trunk bases
so in time they might make very nice Bonsai
What i do know is i will have lots of very good trees to seel at next years Ausbonsai sale day
