Juniper brown needles

Just wondering if there is any particular reason why Junipers get a few brown needles here and there?
Mine had a few when i got it but think it may have a few more since too aside from that i think its still alive i hope lmao

If you stop taking her picture at this time she will be alright. Might be a little camera shy lol

The tips of the branches is where most of the magic happens on a juniper, which is why it's not a good idea to pinch every tip when trying to restrict growth. When a growing tip isn't getting enough sun, it stops growing and dies off.
Also, old needles just die off too, so you can just remove them.

The needles are still soft at this stage i was more worried i was doing something wrong like overwatering lol
I dont just put all my baby trees in a mix i made... 4 parts bare potting mix (bunnings $2.40 for 25l) 1 part sand and 1/2 part coco peat

Just keep digging around in the soil to make sure you're watering properly.
Curl grubs love regular potting mix, so make sure you get yourself some confidor or get your hands on some zeolite and some good quality diatomite. Do a search for potting mix, there have been a few really good threads on potting mix.
