Just repotted this tiny mugo - thought I might share it with you.

It is around 8 or 9 cm high including pot.

Me too! I'm hoping to do some of my seedlings as Mames. I mostly like Shohin, but a few Mames would be good.

Hi Jamie - this one - being a pine, and a very slow growing one at that - doesnt mind getting dry - I only water it as often as the rest of my larger trees.

while we are on topic mate, another question for ya. how "old" is this tree? and what i mean is what size was it originally before it was put into training as a bonsai?, how long has it bee in traning? and what was its original size? is this little pine from nursery stock?

On a side note, where does every one get the tiny tables from? They are fantastic.

This tree is around 30ish years old. I got the tree from Grant Bowie a few years back. He had started the bonsai from tube stock, so there are no real large chops that have had to be healed. I have never had a problem potting mugo throughout spring. I just wait until we get past the colder early spring days.

This little stand, I am not sure where I picked it up - I cant remember - I have had it for some time now.
