Cherry tree sticky whitish leaves

Please help this is what I found on my cherry tree leaves... it is sticky and it is discolouring the leaves...what is it? What to do? ... panicked... do you get lots of diseases on your plants? Is there any way to prevent this?

I would get a magnifying glass and check for mites.

Looks like Spider Mite damage. You can use Rose Shield which can also be used on ornamentals (not edibles) or Yates Natures Way Insect and Mite Killer Natrasoap.
