Does anyone use grow bags, where should I buy them for a good deal?

I think grow bags have all but disappeared from the commercial scene.
Many bonsai growers have moved to Orchid Pots which have excellent drainage but are shallow. http://www.orchidpotco.com/index.htm A bit dearer but infinitely better than grow bags.
Rocket pots http://www.rocketpot.com.au/ are designed to air prune the roots and should also be good for developing bonsai. A lot of commercial growers use these now.

Many Ausbonsai members are getting great growth from trees planted in colanders from the reject shop or similar discount stores.

I've been buying so many orchid pots got another 11 today
Just regret getting so many standard pots when i first started, thinking about cutting them in half

Hi bailey , not all people think alike , I use grow bags and find them as good and in some cases better than any pots , especially when i comes to storage . I have used them for just on 10 years with no complaints , still have 200 plus in use today growing and developing most of my bonsai trainers .

Do a google search or look on ebay 5 litre bags are light weight and only fill out to around 120mm but the 10 and 15 litre bags 200-250mm are heavier gauge . For squat pots simply roll the tops down to the desired depth , I have Pines and Cedars , growing in 15 litre bags {250mm diameter} rolled down to 50 - 70mm, Maples and and Crab Apples rolled down to 100mm .

I bought some grow bags from Daleys Fruit tree nursery in Kyogle. They were a little bigger than I'd envisioned, but they get a lot of use. I'll buy this size next time https://www.daleysfruit.com.au/buy/bons ... -litre.htm
