Summers over and my needles haven't opened on most of my pines.

Any ideas why? Too much rain in sydney?

Not enough fertiliser?

Any suggestions of what to do would be appreciated.

when did you candle prune this year ? I know I left mine later then I should (late January ) so I have most that have opened but only barely. You also have had ALOT more rain up your way and cooler days in general so that could defiantly be a factor especially if you candle prune around the same time each year.

I decandled same time as always I thought - usually around end October - but I was pretty busy so maybe I was a couple of weeks late.

Actually maybe we had rain and humidity and I got a second set of candles late in summer - early autumn as its been so hot.

I have just found a photo where I removed some candles late in January.

I dont keep enough records!!
