These were made up over the course of a weekend after purchasing 6 x 7.5 metre lengths of 200 x75 heavy duty lit-gal purlins . This is a basic 3 platform trestle type rack and this 1 is a simple bench type which will have a granite retaining wall built underneath it , time permitting of course .This has produced around 45 metres of new bench space . I had to get the excavator back to widen the top terrace by 1 metre and sort the drainage out , now growing a nice lawn ready to be trampled when the rock work begins .

Hi Raymond , plenty of stock here , just not enough time to work it . I might get around to it one day until then it just grows and sells .

Hi Pearcy001 , mate the rack has a roof under the beams , a bit of forward thinking on my behalf . A dual purpose rack and wood storage , cos I'm running out of usable room for essentials like firewood .

Your making me jealous ,I haven't even started to cut wood for this winter . Great benches ,I'd like to do something similar in the future but I was thinking of turning the purlins or roofing iron the other way up so that I can channel the excess water into tanks for reusing in other areas of the garden . It looks like your maybe doing that on the benches behind .

Good job. Make sure you paint the welds with ''cold gal'' at some point.

Hi Sno , managed to haul in around 10 tonnes of wood so far , will require at least another 4 tonnes to get through the cold . The run off goes down onto the grow beds the other side of the screen , I waste nothing here except time .

Hi Treeman , mate never had any faith in cold gal unless you put a sealer coat over it. But the time it rusts out I will have re-used them somewhere else
