Hey guys , thought I'd share this little progression . I bought this about 12 months , it was clearly a well developed Bonsai. Unfortunately I didnt take a photo on the day I bought it .
I have changed the front approx 90° . The new front really showed the movement and size of the base alot better.
Last weekend a mate and I repotted it and then i wired all the branches into the new places . Hope you like it .

Looks great except for the branch halfway up on the left. Maybe notch it to bend it down as it looks too thick to wire.

Bend it down from where it joins the main trunk ?
I have considered this as it is a large branch , I am training a lower branch on the back to fill in the void.
I know it sounds strange but I dont mind the larger branch there feel it adds some balance. Hence geowing the back branch to fill im the space
But I am still very much a learner in bonsai !!
Thanks for the advice though I shall be pondering this

There are two problems with this branch - one it is thicker than the lower, older branches which doesn't normally occur. Normally as you go up the tree the branches get smaller in diameter and shorter. And the other issue is that the branch goes against the flow of the other branches. They are all downward growing except that one which is upright.
