No rush though, refine the style, add bulk further reduction can come later.

Cheers thanks guys.as I'm fairly new to bonsai thats one thing i was worried about was cutting back to much and branch selection. Do the decisions get easier with time? Will have to make another trip down to bonsai world and pick a nice pot.
How soon can i repot after working on tree?

In my opinion with more experience you will start to see so many more options and possibilities making it infinitely harder to commit to a vision....

Some time after that you realise that if you cannot decide between options that means that all the options are good so it does not matter which you choose. That's how workshop leaders are able to decide so easily + the tree is not theirs so they don't really care

How soon can i repot after working on tree?

you have not made a significant impact on this tree. If it was here I'd probably repot straight away. If you don't do it in the next few weeks I would leave repotting until autumn or late winter/ spring.

Repotted the other week into the new pot

Major top surgery and then a repot. Hopefully not too close together or you may find yourself a tree short. Get some Seasol on that baby! Aftercare after major surgery is extremely important.

In the future don’t do top and bottom so close together. I’d be lucky to do major foliage work and a repot in the same growing season. I won’t do it with conifers unless I really had to.
