Experience with Shimpaku x media -'duab frosted'

Hi all, I have a few Shimpaku's which I love shaping, there only young though. I have found a nice advanced Shimpaku x media -'duab frosted'. It had a different foliage to the normal, a more even spread & a bit more sparse, doesn't look as though it grows as dense with golden tips on new growth. Has anyone had any experience with this plant & what they develop like as a bonsai?
Cheers
Ryan

Be very careful of variegated foliage on juniper's most variegated plants are man made as are most X's in plants.
The problem with them is they are not stable it will usually brown off and die. To create variegation's there is first a virus introduced.
I would not try or buy, that is personal though.

Edit the colour or the variegation on the plant die's leaving brown patches all over the plant.

Cheers pup, As tempting as it is I think I will take your advice & leave it alone, I would rather not have a week tree to worry about & waste money.
Cheers Mate.

Ryan, I'm with Pup on this one. Many years ago I was tempted with the "pretty" look of the variegated look and thought I would try one or two. They both died within two years.................

Excellent, I think that is more than enough evidence for me to stay clear, I think I might stick with my Bottle brush air layering & casuarina collecting for the next few months. Try my hands on some natives. Look forward to seeing your Callistomen care sheet pup..
Cheers all

Ryan I am waiting for the flowering to finish on the big one so when I show how to prune what, and why. It can be seen, not long now about a week or so.
