These are a few pictures of where i live, which is one rung down the ladder from heaven. Which makes me a very lucky fellow. I hope you enjoy my introduction.

What a beautiful place you have, Bodhi! Really inspiring. My wife and I are hoping to buy a house mid next year, after which we'll be doing up the back yard and making an area for my Bonsai, so I'll keep this thread bookmarked for reference
Thanks for sharing!

I did the same thing but the "area for bonsai" just keeps expanding. Now I have several bonsai areas all over the yard.
It's been gradual enough to not cause a stir so far though.

Thanks for posting that up Bodhi. I've been having a fairly stressful week with work, and looking at your place has made my day much more bearable =)
Made me feel a little relaxed. Your place is fantastic

Hi Kvan64, Each and every one is lovingly( mostly anyway) by hand every day. We are on tank water and irrigating is not water wise enough.

Looks like you have the run of the yard Bodi and a handy studio to boot. Great setup. The sprawling garden is how it is meant to be done very nice.
That must take a while to water though. I look forward to the day I can stretch my collection out to display better but at the moment I try to keep all mine in a less sprawling fashion to make watering easier.
Mine is far from perfect and congested though.
The mother in law gets a face of horror when I mention watering 3 times a day. I gather this is from her having one of the most annoying gardens to water always finding another area that needs watering. I would rather water mine three times a day than hers once a fortnight.
I think it might take me 20 mins to water everything at the moment maybe 10 mins on light watering days. I would be interested how long it takes to water this setup? I guess it comes down to habit how you like to do it. My mate pol has largish rocks all over his soil as a mulch to keep the soil cooler and I asked him how do you know when they are dry. He shrugs and says I just Know?

Hey Aaron, I dont get to messed up by animals and birds. I get the odd broken branch from a bird and a bit of chewing by a bush rat but because i dont hassle them much they reciprocate. The odd snake catches me off guard sometimes though.
