Blue Rug on a fence post

This wild little plant was initially sick nursery stock, that has been fertilized & left to grow for the past 3.5 years untouched.
It has now regained much vigour & just acquired it’s first few pieces of wire to contort some extending branch lengths, which continually [but slowly] pour out of it’s Mudlark pot.
It’s gonna get some jins eventually - but it doesn’t know about that yet.
I think it’s Juniperus horizontalis wiltonii “Blue Rug” ?

- but it was unlabelled at time of purchase, so not 100% sure.
Keep calm…..

That's a nice looking plant with a lot of potential. Also a nice pot, but I just love the stand it's on!

. I hope the farmer doesn't find the person who cut the top off his gate-post.

Hi KC&R
I too love that stand.
The rustic "liberated from farm stead" look works a treat.

Hi Frank - the farmer has new steel fence posts now. The 'stand' was salvaged from his firewood pile. Couldn't let it burn.
Thanks for your comments Mel

& Robb63

- enjoy your Sunday.
