A 4 hour session this morning and they have been re-wired and twisted down and compressed like an octopus in petrol .

All the folige has been retained for thickening of the trunk and branches
I will drop these into large pots or a grow bed for a season then trim the into shape .

These were taken to our club for wire removal and a hair cut , its about the only Bonsai work I have done this year

. Now I have a couple of trunks with some movement to work with . They should make for nice Shohin in years to come , with such open foliage I might even graft Shimpaku onto them .

Hey Ian,
“Like a octopus in petrol.” ?! And I thought my mind went for strange descriptions!
I enjoy your posts and I am going to carry out my threat to visit your setup one day.
Cheers,

Hi MJL , mate Its good description when you cant actually see the trunk lines for the foliage .
I have had numerous visitors coming from all directions after placing an add on Gumtree , with the NBN as useless as it is it makes it hard to send pics let alone update topics here .
Numerous attempts to get on this site over the last few months has just been pointless .Its hard to get good help with the internet .
Your more than welcome to visit just send some contact details in advance .
Cheers . Alpine
