Hi.
I attended the Tops bonsai workshop at Stanwell tops a few weeks back, it was great and I recommend it to everyone for next year.
There I participated in a couple of workshops, one was creating rock/mountains.
I want to share my end result.
I've just planted a wee juni starter which looks funny for now, but it will come good. I'm pleased with the rock, was easy and fun!Image

Good looking rock mate. Could you share a few secrets?

Needs a mountaineer figure in a saffron robe to complete the Matterhorn meets Asia composition.

Watto - make a styrofoam rock shape, coat with non- flexible tile adhesive, paint with cheap acrylic craft paint. Repeat as necesary until you have faux geological happiness, then add little trees for horticultural bliss, and enjoy with your favourite recreational chemical.
YouTube has lots of info, especially the model railway folk.
