Azalea - R. indica (un-named)

I'm trying this one out to see if I can post pictures! It doesn't look like this now, of course, as it was pruned when the flowers faded. It's around 9-10 years old - I've had it for around 5 years. It's a pity it's un-named, as it flowers profusely and reliably each year, with spot flowers on and off all year, other than the depths of winter!

PS - Well, that was pretty simple!

10 points for having a go Scorpio - It's like riding a bike, once you have done it, you want to do it again and againand again....
I look forward to seeing many more of your bonsai. This one is a ripper, would like to see the branch structure.

Hi scorpio,
Nice tree -- did the flowers break any branches yet?
I found that if we careful and keep the flowers out the heat and full-sun and water. Some species of azalea
could bear flowers for up to 12 weeks.
Regards,
Viet.

Hi Scorpio, it looks like a Karume hybrid of which there are literally thousands. It also looks like a double hose in hose flower.
What Viet says about the flowers is true no water on them no fertiliser when the buds show colour.
If you bring them into the house only for a couple of days.
When you want them to flower more sun, when you want to hold onto the flowers no direct sun and as I said before no water on the flowers not even a mist. I cannot say for definite which one it is though.

Thank you all for your comments. I'm glad you liked it - I'm rather proud of this one.
No, Viet - no broken branches! I usually support the branches when it gets going, but I was a bit late this year, and it looked like a double semi-cascade for a day or two!
Thanks for your congratulations, Steven. It was pretty simple, really, and I'll be getting a few more on board for advice, comments, etc.
Pup - Thanks for your advice. Much appreciated. That's the trouble with azaleas, isn't it - the huge number of hybrids! And if one performs really well, and is un-named, you've got Buckley's of finding which one it is!
