Here we go with its official 30th April image....Still very healthy and a little slow out of the blocks...but now starting to move.

With this guy we will not touch the foliage much as to promote more trunk thickness and will look to eventually spur off with a few more main branches to help make the silhouette, also at this stage the smaller trunk will stay in front of the main, with it to the side...happy with it so far ...cheers

Cool pot. The crackle echoes the movement in the healthy young trees. [THUMBS UP SIGN]

Thank you Mark, yes it is a crackle pot and from Tracey....Murrungbung Studio Ceramics

Yes your imagination mirrors mine, maybe a bit stark at the moment with the young green foliage really needing the brown bark trunk to lighten it down, see how we go...cheers mate

Okay this one got through winter alright, so where are we going with this, well in the alloted time we can not expect to get a big guy (fat) from a stick in a pot, so basically I must distract you, get your on to the sillouette quickly with a little bit of interest inside it by contorting everything, this one has just been cut back to have a look at its bones with dominance and direction taking light, I don t think it needs alot of foliage in the final wash up, we will see ...there you go my thinking for now....cheers

Hey Anthony, there's a frangipanni a few blocks away from me and every time I drive past it reminds me of your kunzea. I finally got around to taking a photo this morning - side by side I don't see much resemblance any more but I might as well still post it!

the lastest on this guy, root work removing heavy stuff (thicker ropey roots) refining to keep fine fibrous roots and also a slight lift in the pot, looks like it has come back okay from the work so pleased with that and I have given a tiny tip out to put it back in silhouette for this photo

I will now let it do its thing for winter...mostly..rest.

Anthony
