small twisty sumo pine

This is a tree that I posted in a thread regarding Mauro Stemberger and I only posted a picture of it in passing really.
Anyway I figured after a candle cut just before Christmas and today a bit of a clean out and some shoot selection I would give the tree it's own thread. I fed everything really heavily leading up to summer this season and I have to say I have never had a pine respond to a candle cut like this one has, obviously it being in a grow pot has a bit to do with it but this tree absolutely boomed.
This is the tree after work with Mauro, No before shot unfortunately but work consisted of cleaning, some jin work on heavy unwanted branches and the initial structure being set. This was a tree that I never intended on working on, and was only chosen as the tree I took only needed about half an hours work, so i went into the nursery and grabbed this as I was eyeing it off as i kiled time before the workshop. I wanted to create the shortest tree possible here
This is the tree today, and it is less dense than it was when I started work, having taken most of the new shoots down to 2, shortening some of the longer needles where buds didnt fully develop, and tweaking the branch placement slightly. Size wise, this tree is currently 28cm tall to the needle tips, and 9cm wide at the base
I havent done a full re wire or wired any of the new shoots as it's not fully hardened off, but it is much further ahead shoot development wise than the trees in pots that were decandled at the same time so I figured some minor work today wouldnt slow it down.
Not sure when I will pot this tree, as some of the shoot extension was way too long with this candle cut, so it could do with being slowed down, but I also wouldnt mind packing on another season of growth and vigor like this next year
