Hey all, just wanting to double check my frost tolerance knowledge. I believe the below trees would be better to bring in at night when frosts are expected. Anyone see any issues with the rest of the trees?

Bring inside:
Bougainvillea
Fuschia
Ficus religiosa
Old man banksia
PJ fig
Portulacaria afra jade

Other trees:
Berberis
Shimpaku and Squamata juniper
Chinese elm smooth and corky
Privut ligustrum
Japanese maple
Trident maple
Cedrus atlantica
Cedrus Deodora
Prunus flowering cherry
Swamp cypress

Everyone has a slightly different interpretation of 'frost' but it would generally apply to temps below 0C. Some subtropicals can be damaged at temps even higher than 0C so it may be better to err on the side of caution and protect frost sensitive trees even when temps are predicted below 5C.

Most of your sensitive list are definitely cold sensitive except Old man banksia which I would put firmly in to the second list. They are fully frost hardy and sit on my benches all year round with temps dropping to -5C and occasionally colder.

Your second list are all fully hardy to any temps we are likely to get in Australia.
