Interested in any experience people have had with cutting old branches off a Parrottia. Very hard wood and bark, no visible buds - have they back budded for you from such hard cutting treatment?
Thanks

Enter 'parrotia bonsai' in Google and you'll get plenty of info, videos included. You could also enter "Arthur Joura". Yes, info from the USA, but it gives you an idea. I can remember one beautiful Australian Parottia bonsai which was grown by Don DeLuca. I think he sold it, about 10 years ago, but don't know to whom. Don is one of the demonstrators at The Tops weekend, maybe someone could ask him about it. You want a really good time with bonsai and great people, attend The Tops yourself.

Hey Pat,
I hope you are well. Below is a historical AusBonsai thread (2009) related to the species. It does not answer your question however I thought you might be able to reach out to some of the folk on that thread with a PM (if they are still about) and they may be able to answer your question. Just an idea.
