HUBCAP

Dog walking again... yes, several times a day. This time I found a small Ford hubcap that, once washed, has become an ideal humidity tray for one of my small figs. The fig sits on the prongs above the water, the hubcap makes a great catchment area and the fig is out of water if it rains heavily. I keep my figs over water in the summer to promote aerial roots and this is a neat find. This is not one of those hideously fancy hubcaps... it is plain and ordinary and designed for its second purpose in life.

My dog walking trips only lead me to say "what if" at those same few trees i spot each time. Nothing much else. I did find some bonsai pots once, thats about it. Think i need to walk with you!

If you want your figs to go faster though, put it on a holden hubcap :D
