Japanese Black Pine

Here's just a photo of my newest and only surviving black pine. The focus for now is just getting some zigs, some zags and some girth.

I dunno... plenty of movement down low and what looks like a few options in the branching... I can see stuff in that! Would like to see some other views to make more concrete ideas/decisions but there seems to be potential. I’d be looking to get the nebari under control over the next couple of years - rein in those tentacle roots while you develop the top, but this tree is definitely worth a bit of attention I think.

There's a couple of large scars that will take time to heal over, just don't want to rush and kill this one just yet

I am looking forward to seeing more photos. With that movement down low, surely there's something of a bright future for this little tree.
