Bonsai tool roll - where to get?

Hi All,

I've been looking for a bonsai tool roll for some time.

I've found a few but not too sure if they are right cut and if there are other options.

So far...

- EBay there is one for $12 which is green, not a fan

- Kaneshin website has a white canvas type roll. Looks nice but tools sit loose and not in slots I think? Thoughts?https://kaneshin.shop2.multilingualcart ... y_185.html

- Ryuga from an Aussie website http://www.bonsainet.com.au/m/product/detail?id=621

Any other options? Where have people got theirs from?

Hi Andrew,

I purchased mine from Kaneshin (probably 4-5 years ago?) with a bunch of other tools. It has no pockets but it does not matter - indeed, it may be easier to use because you don’t fiddle with pockets - just place tools out and roll ‘em up and the material between each acts a buffer. Works well. Good and simple. I put between 8-10 tools in the roll and I have another wallet for other tools.

That said, if you can find a Carbatec woodwork store - they have some really good tool rolls. Some canvas and some leather. I have nearly purchased one or two of theirs over time but as yet haven’t / come to think of it - Christmas is coming.

I don’t use a roll. I use a tool tray from bunnings.

I had my tools in the tool wallet thing they came in but found it a hassle to get the tool I wanted when I needed it which is usually when my hands are full. I find the tray is easy to move around and access the tools when I need them. I just need to make up something that holds my wire that can attach to the bottom.
I don’t have expensive tools.

Thanks all.

Looks as if there is a Carbatec store not far from me. I'd challenge that their tool rolls are more for chisels and some of the wider bonsai tools wouldn't fit well in the case?

The tool rolls do look quite good though!
