Peter Warren is coming to Bimer in November. Friday workshops are only open to Bimer members, but there is a whole weekend of activities. Registrations close on Saturday 5th October. You must pay to secure your spot with oversubscribed events being refunded. This is Peter's first time in Oz, so come and see what he can show us.

Thank goodness it's Oct 5th and not Nov 5th as your original post stated! LOL...

I'm looking forward to finding out if I have secured a place on the Friday.

So it is just over a week now until Peter spends some time with us in sunny Brisbane. If you would like to come along to the demos or observe a workshop get in touch - we may be able to squeeze you in :tu:

This is my workshop tree for the Friday session. It is a needle juniper.

As Crocodile Dundee might say: "Not that's a workshop tree!"

Hey AGarcia - the photo of the tree in your profile - is that yours? And if so, are you able to post a current photo, it looks a treat.

Pity it clashes with our Redlands show. :( Still, I'll manage the Friday, at least.

Had a great day yesterday with Peter Warren and all the workshop participants and observers. Peter is great fun, worked very hard on some fabulous trees, and achieved some very beautiful results! Thank you BIMER for bringing him out before he did his Japanese stint at Taikan-Ten.

Now I have to spend the morning preparing my sales trees and displays for the Redlands show tomorrow!

So far we have had 2 full on days with Peter - tomorrow he finishes off with a workshop in the morning and then doing a demo on group plantings using some swampies. Here is the black pine he worked on this afternoon.

Peter has been very entertaining while imparting some of his vast knowledge from many years spent working in the bonsai industry including an apprenticeship in Japan. He has a very easy going style and has been a pleasure to host.

Everyone went away from the workshop very satisfied. Peter is very hands on and is happy to help out with wiring or anything else that is required.
