My god, talk about being a glutton for punishment. I know how much my shohin grows and how much constant pruning it needs - you will be enslaving yourself to that gorgeous stump. But what a beauty and you are young enough to do it.

Intersting to see these growing on the Gold coast. Were they planted or in the wild. I had been told they grow wild much farther north. Next time you go for a dig how about letting us know, although a wee bit smaller would probably be easier to dig depending on the soil condition etc. I was just talking to a friend a couple of weekends ago about hiring a dinga if we found a good dig site. We had been takling about digging big old grape vines a couple of years ago on a very hot october day.

The tradition is now you have to do the chicken dance all around the yard until the neighbours poke their head over the fence wondering what you are on about.

Good news that it shot, mate. I have done a sketch of the tree. When you first showed it to me, I visualised it being styled this way. The shari on the side would be made interesting by having sections of it hollowed out. Hope you like it. If you don't, let me know and I'll work on Version 2!!! After all, I have plenty of time!!!

Cheers
