pics are working now
nice stump pal. can you give us some dimensions? and you will have a lot of options open to you when it starts shooting, i think that heavy side migh be a little to heavy for a cascading tree. i can see a nice full canopied tree there too

have you thought of upright styles?
and that marvelous tree next to it in pic 3, is that an elm?? it is nice whatever it is
do you plan on showing us that one any time soon???

Ooooo yeah, much better!! Crikey, she's a beaut!!
I tend to agree with Jamie though, the size of it would probably suit an upright style more.

BEAUT STOCK... needs harder reduction.

And then when new branching develops select for position and also to cover blunt end on left branch. But I think it will happen and since bougs develop quickly you could have a nice tree in a year. You could still consider informal upright and take advantage of the triple direction but I would be removing ALL branch stubs back to the main trunk.

Cheers guys .... Jamie that's a celtis next to the boug in pic 3 . And yes have looked at the upright idea for it , it has a nasty bar branch at the front and I also wanted to utilize that big left hand side branch ...maybe turn it into something a little different?? Haven't decided yet.

i can understand ya wanting to utilize that large branch to the left, i would too
heres what i see, its a rough and ready virt but gives ya the basic idea.

with some carving and some taper introduced would be quite accomplishable. you could always extend that left hand side branch further out too, that would look good and be considered semi cascade? one would think anyway, maybe you would call it an informal upright semi cascade, who knows

it would look good any way.
some ramification and you will be on your way to bougie bliss

and from what i can see of ya skills you are very capable of doing this too

G`day mate good to see it has shot I think this tree could have a lot of options. I have done 3 virts to give you some ideas. The negative with all of these options is that it will leave some large areas of dead wood , though saying that I think they could be turned into positives -with some carving. I think that is an option on bougs now we use earls wood hardener. CHEERS ROD...
