Holy sh!t Batman. There’s not a tree I don’t like in that first set - well, maybe the dragon spewing ivy is “a bit out there Jerry” to take a quote from Seinfeld. But wow! Of course all the shots are of wonderfully crafted trees but I do love (most) of that first set... so much so that I’m on a train at present and a person sitting next to me just got shown the pictures! Well ... he asked why I was smiling ...

Anyway - thanks Mel - I look forward to checking these out on a bigger screen. Some seem formulaic but a lot not ...with the ‘not’/creative taking my eye. And who knows, the stray unit in a suit might just look into Bonsai now too. I didn’t get his name ... he seemed to get off quick ...

Wow, thanks Mel. I especially liked the shots that featured the pots and what appears to be a European move towards European pots. I also like the fact that Europeans are not afraid to exhibit deciduous trees with jin/shari.

What a fantastic post, Mel! I was bowled over by the variety of trees shown in your photos, and by the many instances of total originality, including in the pots and stands. I was especially grateful (yes, really!) because this collection shows how very different bonsai can be and still be BONSAI.
