Automatic watering system

Who has an automatic watering system? please describe it? when is it set to come on, and how long. We are looking to overhaul the automatic system around the bonsais, that we use mainly when we go away. We had drippers, but since I am always moving plants around, and at the moment, my display bench is overcrowded with all sorts of rubbish (Houseplants needing tender loving care, seedlings (Alright, eventually they might be bonsai) that are going to be planted into a hedge when they get a little more developed(Cherry plums)

so the point of this is, we were wondering if putting sprinklers on the roof? of the pergola where the bonsai live, would work? :ugeek:

I have mine on the pergola setup but my bench is fairly high at just over 1 meter below the sprinklers. I use various from misters to sprayers. With a bit of experimentation you should be able to find the right sprinklers that will work.

Pup, do you have problems with it clogging? we could very easily duplicate the micro butterfly sprinklers.

the timer and solenoids are already in place, I just want to replace the drippers.

thanks

Now is that not nice Brett I did not watch that show. As I have said many times what works for me I will pass on. Also Retro is now the in thing is it not. :)

Paddles as my system is up in the air so to speak I have no problems with blockages. The biggest problem I have is when it gets hot the poly pipe will sag.

I do find with my retro sprinklers I get better coverage than micro sprays. It is also water that does not get blown away with the wind, like a spray.

Cheers ;) Pup

Mine ruhns around the benches and have no problems with clogging as it is a Closed system
If you used tanks or dam water, then maybe but th sprayers it is easy to clear them too
