Omiya Bonsai Art Museum posted this on their instagram account, and I have to say, it's one of the very few pines that has resonated with me...if only I could just put my finger on the exact reason why...

Ah Mel! Your just made my evening ...with my love of group plantings ...slender trunks ... why do you like it? Who knows but for me these trees are dancing, harmonious but not... I look at this and it easily transports me a place where I am looking at a stand of trees from a distance and stare in wonder at nature’s chaotic harmony. If it’s not chaotic for nature ... it is for my human mind ... but in a good way. I’m not on social media like Instagram and Facebook etc... so thanks for posting.

Yep i'm a fan of that one for sure.
I'm really looking forward to visiting the OBAM in March, hopefully get to see some of these beauties up close and get to appreciate them in their full glory

Great bonsai museum, with a nice exhibition currently of trees from Tomio Yamada. I think that finishes up early in March, but following it was an exhibition with a focus on flowering bonsai so I doubt you’ll be disappointed. Got some great pics from the outdoor area in the venue (shots not allowed of all the trees on exhibit), so take your camera.

I love flowering bonsai so I’ll look forward to that with great anticipation. I’m staying in the Omiya region for a couple of days so I can get to all the nurseries and do a bit of pot shopping too possibly
