Leaves too way too thick to be dawn redwood. Possibly an Auracaria or similar?

Looks strikingly similar to a couple of Sequoia sempervirens I have in my yard.

The leaves look very familiar but I just can't pin it down. My first though was also one of the sequoia family.

Looks somewhat like some kind of taxus maybe?
The dog is definitely a pug but I think you already knew that...

Pug votes for taxus but I’m undecided

Might be a long shot but any chance it's a Wollemia?
Surely parks would be more prone to planting them out these days. That said when comparing the pics to mine I can't really tell either way.

I've had another look at the foliage. Rule out dawn redwood because it has opposite foliage right down to the leaflets and those in the photo are alternate and also all round the stem so also rule out swamp cypress.
Both the above are deciduous so go back in a couple of weeks. If that tree has no leaves it is either one of those species or it has died. Does not really look happy at the moment.

Bit slow on the reply here but it does look a lot like a Wollemi Pine.
