Bjorn's presentation style is very warm and easy to understand. The end result of the tree's styling is quite beautiful. I wonder whether - to be really rugged/extreme - the top could be knocked off the left of the tree - the story being that the extreme conditions kill anything (over time) that pops its head into the cold wind. Perhaps losing a bit more foliage like this rough sketch. My comment in not meant in any disrespect - noting I don't have the baseline skills to make the original changes anyway! Rather just noting what floats my boat and the ideas in my head.

I think its a Dan Robinson quote, something along the lines of no old tree deserves just one jin. Whatever caused the first one hasn't stopped acting on the tree over the following decades/centuries.

Can also be tied into the current green helmet debate. Whatever caused the amazing deadwood hasn't suddenly ceased and allow perfect rounded canopies.

But yea I quite like this tree
