While My Mexican Pine Gently Weeps.

A Mexican pine. I haven’t seen many good ones as bonsai. Why I purchased this I’ll never know. (Actually I do remember, it was about one year ago - throw-out cheap and I regretted it the minute I purchased it!)
A tree by Grant Bowie gave me some hope that there might be something to play with. I think I have seen a nice one at Baloc’s joint too.
I settled on semi-cascade to allow the tree to weep, so to speak. The pot is purely a training pot. Over-sized - all I had on hand really - that said, and breaking the rules for pines - I don’t mind the glaze. It works ok in the context of the flowing fronds and colour of the tree’s new growth.
The old trunk will one day become a Jin.
Funny how the only branch I used was 1cm from the ground! Silly or potentially ok - time will tell.
