G'day. I have this Chinese tallow that I am quite happy with the trunk thickness and the branch locations. I don't however like the knots of roots down the bottom. Has anyone had any experience in air layering tallows. I am worried that I will get a bit of branch dieback and not sure if an air layering this large is advised.
I live in Perth and I won't be doing this until next spring if I do it at all.

Thanks,
Sam
