I'm looking at replacing my cheap ebay bonsai tools with some Kaneshin tools.
Focusing on getting a base set of good tools and stick with the cheap ones for others like pliers, splitters, etc.

Current ebay set
Kaneshin tools

Scissors - Can't choose between 35D, 827, 38A
Maybe two pairs? Maybe something else?

Also, the other tools I'm going to get:
Knob cutter - No. 11
Concave cutter - No. 3A

Cut paste, is the green or white lid tub better for a one fits all general purpose sealer?

I bought Kaneshin many years ago and they are great. But any cutting tool is no good unless you learn to sharpen it. I use an eze-lap, from Bunnings.

I bought the cheapest Kaneshin scissors and it is the most used tool that I have.

I find the black steel are easy to lose in the grass and they rust easily. I just invested in a stainless steel pair of branch cutters because lost my black ones on a collecting trip. Buy a block of creanmate from Kaneshin it is brilliant for cleaning off rust.

The sealer is as it says, the green has a hormone for slow growing plants. It can cause large lumpy callouses - but I use it anyway😜

Cheers,
