Japanese Larch growing foliage in March

Hi there,

I’m fairly new to working with bonsai and even newer to caring for Japanese larches.
Earlier in the summer my larch got quite a bit of damage to its foliage from the sun.
It’s now growing new foliage in autumn despite being deciduous.
Is this cause for concern heading in to winter?
What would be the best course of action in this situation?

Thanks

As long as the tree is healthy there is no cause for concern. It just uses extra energy to produce these leaves. Ensure it is well fed before leaf burst come Spring. So no action required now.
