Callicarpa Japonica V. Bodinieri

After some advice about spotting the difference between the two. I’ve got several which I suspect were mislabelled.
From what I can tell Japonica has smaller internodes, berries that aren’t as long lived as the other and is berry slow growing. Buds are super small and leaves are a lighter shade of green.
Also has anyone tried grafting Japanese to bodinieri?
