When is the best time to repot a Chinese Yew and a Schefflera? (both established trees)
Re: the Yew, is it too late now (Sept. in Sydney) and better around July/August?
Re: the Schefflera, is it better around same time as Ficus, when overnight temperatures are over 15degC (Oct/Nov in Sydney)
regards,
Peter

I would re-pot a Yew in August. Schefflera in warmer months, I agree. Decemberish.
Btw its September here in Melbourne too.

Is it possible to get a photo of the Yew Peter?
As a general rule of thumb Yew is potted or repotted in August/September however Harry Harrington advocates repotting in late February or early March. So there are two opportunities.

You repot when the tree is ready, not by the date. That means when the new growth is just breaking.
In AU you can also repot at the end of summer/start of autumn when the growth has hardened off but it's still a bit warm.
