Hi folks just thought i would share some pictures of some of my pot collection and see if anyone is familiar with the potters! The last pot is a PK. I have cross referenced the marks and signatures with the Tokoname catalog, some of the makers are listed but not all..!

G,day JayP I am no good either, but if you Pm webos or jow I think they maybe able to help. They have helped me in the past.

13th photo down is probably Yamafusa pottery made by Mr. Takehiko Koie (Tokoname)

1st photo is definitely Bigei pottery, made by Mr.Atsumi Hirata

3rd, 5th and 9th photos are possibly also from Bigei

7th photo...no idea but a very nice pot

11th photo...cant see the Inkan, Hanko (Stamp) well enough to read

there is a a list of japanese potters with there corresponding marks online but i have converted ot to a pdf for anyone that may want to download and print it

oh and i'm pretty sure the green pot in photos 11 and 12 is a YiXing pot..

I've been doing some online research on Tokoname Pots but can't find the answer to the following question: Are all Japanese Bonsai pots Tokoname, or are there others as well?

That's pretty much spot on...

And the 4th from the bottom is yamafusa.

Tokoname is just one famous area in Japan where pots are made. So tokoname refers to a group of potteries from that area, then within that there are the individual potteries names and the potters them selves.

Pots are made all over Japan in different pottery areas and by individuals.

If you want to get an idea of what the top end is like look at Tokufuji for shohin pots, but expect to pay anywhere from $5000-8000+ for a small non famous one and then up to any where around $200,000!!!!!
