In my opinion, this typically Brazilian fruitful tree that arrives to reach 15 meters of height could very be a symbol of our country well. It has as characteristic to very unfasten the rind throughout the trunk and twigs, creating a pretty effect. It possesss perennial and small leves, with a coloration green-brilliant and of oval form. At the beginning of the Spring its leves slightly are reddened. Its small white flowers, in form of pompom, directly appear of the trunk and twigs of the tree, if developing in average fruits (1,5 3cm) shining, almost black and very appreciated.

Hello Luciano,
Thankyou for these great photos of your Jaboticaba, I have a group planting of 5 trees and keep losing lower branches and ones that are wired, do you have any suggestiions to help with this.I have never had any flowers or fruit even though they are about 25 years old.
Cheers, Jonden
