What is this?

Hi, I am new to this forum and apologise that my first post is a request.
I managed to rescue this last weekend from a clean up, it was part of a low garden edging. At the moment I am hoping to get some roots growing as it was held in the ground by two very small roots, and not at all looked after over the years that I has seen it during neighbourhood walks.
Does anyone recognise what it may be?

Sannantha virgata (Synonyms - Babingtonia, Beackea) Possibky not the dwarf form.
Hope it pulls through, that's an amazing trunk.

Thank you so much Dansai.
It is about 80cm high and I have it in a 50cm pot, so a reasonable size.
I am pretty confident that it will pull through, it hasn't dropped a leaf since I came across it.
Yes, the trunk is really amazing, I think that it is probably over 20+ years old.

Bloody awesome is what it is, what a great rescue. So many plants like this must get ripped out and chucked in the green bin every weekend.
Please keep us updated with this one, even if it doesn't survive - it can be helpful to know how much torture a species can take!

Yes Mike, there are some nice little shoots on a part that looks to be dead. The long wet that we have had has kept this one going.

Tough as old boots, and will enjoy some good treatment for a change. Very nice score indeed!

WOW!! Fantastic save. I wish I could score an instant bonsai like that. Are you sure you want to keep it? I have a great pot for it
